Puma launched their most technically advanced running shoes and football boots to date. I set out to create an experience that reflected the feature-rich nature of these two performance products. The result was Puma Visar - The first-ever augmented reality app for Puma South Africa. Using 3D models, animation and code, I helped bring the shoes and their technical features to life, all launched by ordinary
print ads.

The app design put the shoes front and centre, surrounded by a circular navigation. Tapping the menu or swiping left or right animated the shoe at varying angles, revealing their key features and benefits.

The ads for Mobium and Evo Power had already been developed by Puma HQ. It was my job to add the call to action so the readers could experience the shoes right from the page, without the need for a visible QR code.

The experience was brought to life first by modelling the shoes,  then plugging them into Unity.
