Michael is a South African digital design director based in Greater London. Currently the Head of Digital Design at Cheil UK, he's obsessed with making complicated systems simple to use and beguiled at balancing beautiful UI with effortless movement and intuitive function.
His days are spent leading a talented team while creating ecommerce experiences for Samsung UK and Europe.
In his previous life he lived in sunny Cape Town, where he worked at two of the most highly awarded and influential agencies in the country. Notably, Wireframe Studio and Gloo.
When he’s not designing, Michael can be found enjoying time with his two boys, teaching them how to smash the drums and shred the guitar. (or making a lot of noise hitting pots with a spoon and strumming sticky, out of tune ukuleles.)
